This product it’s easy to use even in the private areas, it worked perfect, didn’t hurt my skinDefinitely gets the job done for coarse short hair. Better than other waxes I have previously tried. Doesnt stick and pull on skinI use to get waxed professionally. But after the pandemic and losing my job and now on a very tight budget, I had to figure out other ways. I hate shaving because of razor bumps and how it comes back so quickly. So I came across this and wanted to give it a try and so glad I did. It’s so affordable and honestly so easy if u read directions. It does get a little messy so I just placed a disposable doggie pee pad down and just sat on that. No ruining towels. And it worked great.I was apprehensive about ordering this with all the bad reviews about it being delivered opened or with the oil missing or empty. I took a chance anyways. Not gonna lie I shop by price usually. So I took a chance. I received this in perfect condition. Oil was full wax unused. I'm honestly excited to try this wax. I've never done at home waxes that weren't for the face ? so we shall see... Overall the reviews about the effectiveness were what drew me to buy this one. I haven't used it yet but I'm hopeful. ?Copying and pasting from my “two-pack” review: Okay you guys, if you’re using it on your secrets, anything will hurt. I didn’t think I was going to have as much trouble as I did, but I’m a total newbie to waxing myself and I’m impressed with this product. I’m convinced practice makes perfect and I’ll be a pro the more I use this. Waxing myself also reminds me why I pay people to hurt me during the hair removal process. Waxed my arm pits, lady secrets, butthawk, facial lip & chin/whisker patch...HUGE fan. Was super sore the next day from all the contorting to get all the cracks and crevices, but it was well worth it! It’s hard wax. You do NOT use Muslim strips. Obey the microwave directions for how long and different times as the level in the jar lowers. I was able to do all of the above with one shorty stick (they proved two), but I would recommend having extra sticks on hand in case you aren’t as OCD as me ;) It was annoying having to streak my apartment back and forth to the microwave through the 2 hour process (way longer than I was planning on, but again, I’m a newbie...at 35 I didn’t think I’d say that to anything regarding my body again, but here we are world. Take it or leave it hahaha), but again, I bought microwave wax so I chose this life. Get it! I’m going to invest in a warmer for my future waxing extravaganzas. Pretty feckin’ stoked if I say so myself. Pretty sure my partner had no complaints since I was able to get all up in there by my lonesome...though that could be a fun partner project next time...hmmm. Okay! Have fun fellow waxers!I have used this brand of wax since 2009. The first time I found it was at a Fred's. It was the only place i could find it! I faithfully used it every 5 weeks and was IN LOVE with this product. Never had a single issue in all these years. In 2021 I bought a few tubs (per usual) and figured I'd try out the new Brazilian type I'd never seen before, too. Since I had always used it for the Brazilian waxing purpose anyway. Well heating it produced what seemed like burnt wax. A whole tub trash. Second tub I followed instructions verbatim. Same result. Trash. Maybe it's this Brazilian sh. I go heat up the normal kind I always get. Nope. SAME RESULT. TRASH. I have since tried tubs from Sallys Beauty with same trash results. I was a LONGTIME surgi wax consumer and supporter (13 years) and Unfortunately a great product went to sh. Waste of money. Funny thing is I recently found some of the older product (which resulted in the inspiration for me to come share my experience with surgi wax products!!!) I heated it up and USED IT!! WORKED AMAZING LIKE OLD TIMES!!They've used a new formula or something and it's trash.Used another brand's wax strips prior to this and was very disappointed with the previous product's performance. A friend recommended Surgi-Wax and I am glad she did. The difference in products was night and day. VERY thorough & accurate instructions, which were much appreciated! I much prefer the melted wax over the strips I used with the previous product. Putting the oil on before the wax definitely prevented the wax from sticking to the skin, which was SUCH a difference from my strip experience. The melted wax w/applicator "spatula" affords more control over how and where to apply. The wax really grabbed the hair; almost complete underarm hair removal in one try. Very pleased. Good amount of wax for future applications. Will definitely buy again. This was my first time waxing (down there). This was really easy to use, however, it did make a mess. Luckily I did it in the bathroom, so I just let the wax dry that dripped on the tile and just pulled it off. One side hurt more than the other, and I think that’s bc of the oil. I recommend putting the oil on one side, waxing that side, then putting the oil on the other side and repeat. I did it all at once even though I didn’t get to the other side until later (waxing pros probably know this, but I’m new. Brand new.) If you grew up in the 90s and used Zip to overthin your eyebrows, this wax is reminiscent of that, just a tad messier. For a first time waxer—and just bikini line, I used about 1/3 of the product. I’d assume once you get the hang of it, you won’t use as much.Let’s be honest, waxing anything down there is going to be painful but pleased to report that actually this wasn’t THAT bad, after setting up a glass of wine and taking a deep breath it was actually kinda easy. It’s quite effective and once you get over the fact your going to cause yourself at least some pain, you can get in a good rhythm. Overall, an effective product and saves you quite a bit of money rather than having to go to a spa, my only advice is maybe grab an alcoholic Beverage to see you through, funnily enough I didn’t see that as a recommendation on the pack… The only downside is that after heating the wax, it does go hard again quite quickly and let me tell you, having to go downstairs to the microwave in the middle of this whole situation and avoiding any sort of window is rather tricky, luckily I’ve been with my other half for 12 years and have no secrets between us, though can’t help but feel like I’ve scarred him…I was sceptical at the beginning. The wax took longer to reheat than the instruction read. I started at 1 min and kep adding 30 seconds, checking the wax each time. I think it finally melted at 2.30 min... It smelled too strong and was too liquid, and I wasn't sure the greenish color was right. I let it sit for 2-3 minutes, the texture became a bit thicker.Removing hair was easy and painless! I think you need to remember to stretch the skin and pull the wax strip in the opposite direction of hair growth. Since I did waxing myself for the first time, I just tried to recall how a salon lady did it. It took 30 minutes. I reheated the jar once.Pre-depilation: The cap fell off the little bottle (probably, during shipping idk) so I had only a drop of the pre-epilation gel left. I recommend trimming the hair before waxing. After epilation: I wish I'd bought some after epilation lotion or wipes.... The skin felt sticky. I let it calm down for about half an hour, then took warm shower and used a little bit of unscented green tea toner. The oil container arrived with the lid completely off so everything had been saturated in the oil. Luckily Amazon customer service was amazing as usual and sorted everything out.Pros: The wax is great and very thick, very easy to heat product and use.Cons: The wax has a horrible smell, the wooden sticks provided are about 5cm long so not very useful at all! I had to buy more sticks to use the wax effectively. As a first timer it was a little tricky but that’s down to user error. I purchased the new formula of Brazilian and followed the instructions re the epilating oil and how to apply the wax and it did the job. I would recommend this for anyone brave enough to go solo! Was delivered promptly and on time too!I have tried many a waxing kit, but this one is by far my favourite. The beeswax sent is most pleasant and the handle at the side of the tub is a brilliant idea. However, why this product stands out from the rest is the oil provided. You apply this onto your 'fur' before waxing. It is helps the wax cling only to your 'fur', and not to your skin. The barrier oil really does protect your skin, and allows the wax to cling to your 'fur', making the product extra efficient, even on the smallest of 'furs'.
